Down the Coast

A cinematic journey of heartache, loss and the torment of trying to reunite physically as well as emotionally. A deep desperation drives the main protagonist. It’s not clear who is who in the story, but anyone who has felt infatuation and longing will relate to the emotional drama.
Musically, the song goes through several stylistic progressions which may not sound fully compatible “on paper”. Indie pop, reggae and nu-disco mix it up to contrast the lyrical depths of despair.

Candy Lied

An alternate story of Lou Reed’s character from “Walk on a Wild Side”. What if Candy never went to New York City? She battles her internal demons of self-doubt, fear of the unknown and thoughts of ending it all. Questions if there is enough strength to learn from mistakes and use them as fuel to keep going.

Do You Feel Me

It’s about survival, friendship and the swagger of youth battling the unstoppable force of time. It began life with the lyrics:
“We come down off the same feeling,
Lean on each other for everything”…
From there I started to build the ideas, letting the meaning reveal itself to me which is an exciting way to have the unconscious mind direct the flow. Hope it’s something that resonates with you.
